2021 USA Powerlifting Michigan State Championships

Sanction: MI-2021-09

Date: November 6-7, 2021

Location: Midwest Performance Academy – 1720 Terminal Road, Niles, MI. 49120

This event will be capped at 224 lifters. This allows for 2 sessions on each day. This is a 2 day event.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU REGISTER!

All women and men up to 74kg will lift on Day 1. All men 83kg and above will lift on Day 2. Mx lifters can choose the day they would like to lift. If you are an out of state lifter, click on the registration link for your weight class, and register in the Guest Division. You will be eligible for best lifter awards, and your total will be valid, but you cannot compete against Michigan residents for a medal.

You may change your weight class at any time, but if your weight class change would put you into the other day of competing, we cannot guarantee that you will have a spot and be able to compete alongside your competitors. You will still be able to change weight classes.

You may only register under USA Powerlifting registered clubs for your Team. Michigan registered teams are: Panic! At The Barbell, Petoskey Strength & Fitness, Midwest Power, and Power & Performance. If you add a team to your entry that is not registered, it will be removed.

You must have a valid USAPL Member Number to register. If your membership is expired, I recommend waiting until November 1 to renew it, so that it will roll into 2022. You can look up your member number HERE.

AMERICAN RECORDS CAN BE SET AT THIS MEET.

Divisions:

The age divisions offered for this meet will be Youth (8-14), Teen (14-19), Junior (20-23), Master (40+) and Open divisions.

NOTE: The Open division is by far the most competitive. I highly recommend registering for the Open division, even if you are also able to register in another age division. Many athletes will register in both to have a larger group of competitors.

Events:

Events offered will be 3-Lift, Push-Pull and Bench-Only. You may lift in either the raw, raw with wraps, or equipped (single-ply) divisions. Please contact the meet director if you wish to compete in Para-Bench or Adaptive Athlete divisions.
