2022 USA Powerlifting Michigan High School & Collegiate Open

Location: Goodrich High School – 8029 S Gale Rd, Goodrich, MI 48438

This meet can be used as a qualifier for Teen & High School Nationals & Junior & Collegiate Nationals on March 23-30, 2022 in Lombard, IL. Only Teen, Junior, High School JV & Varsity, and Collegiate divisions will be available for registration. There are no qualifying requirements to compete in this event. Any USA Powerlifting Member can compete in this event if they are in Teen or Junior divisions. To qualify for Nationals, you must achieve the qualifying total for your weight class and division. REGISTRATION: All participants must register online. Registrants can wait to purchase their USA Powerlifting membership until November 1, so that it is valid for 2022. Membership application can be found here.
First Division + T-shirt: $100
Additional Divisions: $25

All entries are non-refundable.

DIVISIONS: The age divisions offered for this meet will be Teen (14-19), Junior (20-23), High School JV & Varsity, and Collegiate divisions. Lifters are able to enter more than one division (i.e., Junior and Collegiate).

EVENTS: Events offered will be 3-Lift, Push-Pull and Bench-Only. You may lift in either the raw, raw with wraps, or equipped (single-ply) divisions. Please contact the meet director if you wish to compete in Para-Bench or Adaptive Athlete divisions.

SCHEDULE:

7:00am SHARP – Weigh-Ins
6:30am-8:30am – Check-In, Equipment Check, Rack Heights
8:30am – Rules Meeting
9:00am – Lifting Begins

TECHNICAL RULES: This meet will follow the technical rules found in the USA Powerlifting rulebook. You can find the rulebook here. There will be a minimum of 10% of participants will be drug tested via urinalysis. AWARDS: Medals will be given to 1st through 3rd place in each weight class in each division. There will also be awards given for the best overall female and male lifters based on DOTS points.
